the Russian revolution



               the causes of the Russian revolution go back into the 19Th century. one of the main causes was the dictatorship. with power in the hands of czar. Russia seemed to frozen in time. czar refused share power with the people. the peasants were heavily taxed and angry. small working class in the cities where heavily  exploited. the people were ready for a change. WWI created means for the change people wanted. first Russia lost millions of men. the Russian army began to fall apart. in the cities people were staving and didn't have fuel for their houses. the communist or dolshevik party was the best organized party in Russia. their leader was v.i.lenin presented a slogan  "Peace bread land"

The Opium Wars

"From 1839 to 1842, China fought what we now call the "Opium Wars" with Britain". china is a vary old country for a vary long time they believed that they were the center of the world also they didn't need anything form any other country.

       by the 18Th century England has Begin to import mass amounts of tea and silk from china. the Chinese  want to be paid only in gold and silver. also, china did not buy much from England. This means that was send a lot of gold and silver out of the country. this had to stop England had to find something that they could sell to china. At first that Chinese government refused to allow opium into china this lead to the first opium war which the chinese lost because the britsh had better ships and weapons. as a result of  had to give up hong kong , and to open other to trade  with england

Simon Bolivar and Latin American Revolutions


simon bolivearis knowed for freeing large spots in south america from spanish control.they were being ruled by king jospph the was french. simon was born in july 24, 1783 caraca, venezuela. . As a teenager he was sent to collage in spain. later he went to eruope then to the united states.

in both of these places he learned about the ideas of the enlightnment. this lead to a desire to gain independence for south america from spain. he was both a general and a politician. he won mant victorys.
